Helping Hudson - A Wheely Great Cause!

HELPING_HUDSON_300px
The more observant of you will have noticed that my blog has been lacking in a project or two this month.  That's because I have been working with a team of ladies to create what we are hoping will be a fantastic fund raising effort to help a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Tina Gillespie has been a fellow member of the Art With Heart Team for as long as I have, and although we have never met (we live in different States), Tina would often share her family's trials and tribulations on our forum ... we would all clap and cheer, or offer a listening ear or a cyber hug when life wasn't going so well, until one day Tina mentioned that her little boy's life would be a million times better if only he could move on his own.  So we are on a mission to raise $5000 to give her son Hudson, some freedom.

This is where the stamping world really comes into play! When a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are asked for help they come to the rescue, ink and paper in hand, to work miracles. This is what has happened around Hudson over the last few months. First it was a few offers of help from our team, and then spreading out across Australia and New Zealand and over to the US, the UK and Canada! His story has touched so many people so its time to share it with you all!  You can check his story out here.

This has resulted in a HUGE online stamping event taking place, called Helping Hudson -A Wheely Great Cause!  The organisers have been working really hard, securing support, tutorials and donations to get this event underway.  It’s true when they say that a little goes a long way, and I’m here to tell you about how a simple purchase of some fun-filled paper craft tutorials can give freedom to a little boy!

Have a little look at these sneak peeks of the tutorial packs we are offering to you - don't they look yummy.

There are ten tutorials per pack and each pack costs $10 - that's $1 per tutorial.  So for all you demonstrators out there that could be ten projects for your classes and workshops all for $1 each!  And for the rest of the craft lovers .... imagine all those projects at your fingertips next time you need some inspiration.

If you purchase more than four packs at one time you will receive the bonus bundle absolutely free!

For more information and to purchase these lovely sets of tutorials, hop on over to the new Helping Hudson website.

And we have more news - when we contacted Stampin' Up! Australia to see if they could help - they sent a huge box of stamping goodies worth over $1000.  So the Helping Hudson team are going to be running a series of challenges - these kick off on Sunday 1 August and will run right through until the 22nd of August.   For a small donation you can join in and be in the running for some FANTASTIC Stampin’Up! Prize packs, (Aussie participants only).   Also keep your eyes peeled for challenges over at Just Add Ink and Stamp A Memory too.  Believe me the prizes are gorgeous - well worth entering the challenges for!

Now a message for all the demonstrators who are reading this - if you are able to help the Helping Hudson team by advertising this event on your blog please check out the information here - there are blinkies, logos and wording ... any help is very much appreciated - thank you.

Remember every little helps and I thank you for your help :)
