Art With Heart Team Blog Hop - Men In Our Lives

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Blog Hop!

You may have just come from Kristine Thompson's blog, but if you are starting here, don’t worry … you can make the complete journey just by following the links at the end of each post. There are 9 stops along the way and we hope you will visit each one to see the wonderful creations we have to show you! If you leave a comment on each and every blog and then email me, Nikki at nikki@inkyart.com.au, your name will be put into the hat to win some beautiful blog candy. There is a deadline of 72 hours to leave your comments and only non SU demos are eligible to win the candy - although we'd love all visitors to leave some comments.

So here's my creation .... yes a scrapbooking page - this one is dedicated to the boys in my life, my husband and my son.

I've used the Urban Garden Designer Series paper, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Baja Breeze cardstock and lots of punches.

The semi-circles on the sides are made from 1 3/4" circle punch, and of course the spiral punch has been used along the side of the journalling block.

The little fishes are so cute.  Now these aren't my idea ... I found them on the the internet and they are the creation of a very talented lady called Dee and her blog is Create with Dee  If you want to check out the You Tube video click here

The little Tiny Tags punch is perfect to highlight the date.  This place is very special - unfortunately the trout farm where these photos were taken was devastated in the bush fires - we've been reading about their recovery and the lakes and ponds have now been restocked ... so we do remember our time here with fondness.

The journalling reads:

'Catching trout in a lake in Marysville, grit determination and a guiding hand from Dad

and hey presto, a yummy trout for Mum's tea.

By the end of the day you were a master of the rod.'

Whilst you are doing the rounds of the hops we thought we would remind you about the Helping Hudson - A Wheely Great Cause event that is now under way - if you love tutorials, then you are going to love what you find at the Helping Hudson website - when you've finished the hop click on the link at top on the left and take a little look at what some of us are up to.

So after all that excitement, that’s all from me. Now you’re off to enjoy the beautiful creations of Dianne Dunk, a very special lady who always produces the most amazing work - she is very creative and lives out in a beautiful part of the Melbourne countryside.

And don't forget to enter the draw for some candy.  And .... HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINE!

Great page for a great memory. I like how the twine adds a bit of a rustic look and those fish are adorable! Good of the boys to be wearing colours that match the DSP so nicely, don't you think? :)
