I Love Kraft!

IMG_3170Yes it is true, I love both craft (obviously you knew that already didn't you) and Kraft the cardstock colour from Stampin' Up! (once described by my good friend as being cardboard colour!).

So today's offering is another with the Celebrate You stamp from Party Hearty - just love that the scallop circle fits so well within the letters ... great thinking SU!

And yes ... there is a bit of Christmas here too, with Kraft, Real Red and Chocolate Chip I've also used a piece of the designer series paper from the I Wish scrapbooking kit .... a spare bit left over from Christmas projects that is easily converted into a birthday card.  Finished with sponging, a Fusion Flower and silver brad - another quick and easy sample to inspire you.

Just noticed that there appears to be a 'splodge' on the ribbon - that isn't there in real life but as I am in sunny Queensland just now I can't re-do the photo for you - so my apologies - it looks better in real life ... honest!

Making Merry Monday # 15

IMG_2225

I was a little worried last night that I didn't have anything to show you today ... I don't think you've seen this one have you?

It's a complete CASE from the packaging you receive the I Wish Scrap booking Kit in .... (CASE = Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) but in this case is it completely 'not' my idea :o)

I was completely stumped for ideas when I made this card and hadn't been a demonstrator for very long and so didn't have very many products.  I was so pleased with this card ... so very simple, that's the beauty of the scrap booking kits.

And the reason why I didn't have anything to show you?  Well this weekend I was with the Art With Heart Team at CraftExpo - we had a ball but it was exhausting.  I'll post some photos in the week of the Saturday team ... but for now ...

Merry Monday and happy stampin

Making Merry Monday # 2

Back again for another Making Merry Monday.

P7040007

Another one using the Seasons Of Joy stamp set.

Recipe:

Stamp SetsSeason Of Joy

Card Stock: Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip

Pattern Paper: I Wish scrapbooking kit

Ribbon: Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon

Other: 1 3/8" Circle punch, Little sparkle from my stash

I love this card, I think I will be making some more like this. The inked edges on the white cards stock really add to the finished look.

For those of you who are new to Stampin Up! many of the punches and stamps have been made to be used together - so the little snowflake was a quick and easy addition to the card, as it fits perfectly with the 1 3/8" Circle punch.  I keep an eye out for punches that have matching punches - just makes cards and scrapbooking embellishments so easy and quick to rustle up.

Back next Monday with another one ... let me know if you are joining in and send me photos of your cards so I can post them here for everyone to see.

Happy stampin!

Nikki
