Art With Heart Team Blog Hop - Celebrations

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Blog Hop! Who are the Art with Heart team? Lead by Claire Daly, there are over 90 demonstrators across Australia ... if you want to be come part of this great team just email me for more details. We have a great team forum, Business Building Club and heaps of support from like minded demonstrators.

You may have just come from Sue Madex's blog, but if you are starting here, don’t worry … you can make the complete journey just by following the links at the end of each post. There are over 10 stops along the way and we hope you will visit each one to see the wonderful creations we have to show you! If you leave a comment on each and every blog and then email me, Nikki at nikki@inkyart.com.au, your name will be put into the hat to win some beautiful blog candy. There is a deadline of 72 hours to leave your comments and only non SU demos are eligible to win the candy - although we'd love all visitors to leave some comments please.

So this month's tour has a theme of Celebrations. At the end of each post there will be a link to take you to the next stop on the tour. It would be fantastic if you could leave a comment on each blog! So grab a cuppa, and set off on what we are hoping will be an inspirational journey!

I've had this idea in my head for a little while now - perhaps I have seen something similar, I often spy things like colours on billboards and display layouts in brochures and think that would make a good scrapbooking page.

Once I had decided on the colours (I was a little 'hung up' on the coral colour of Olivia's top) .... it came together so quickly.

I've used the Large and Small star punches to create heaps of different stars from the Bella Bleu designer series paper and the Kraft and Night of Navy cardstock.  I also used the Classic Stars roller, some twine and a couple of pieces of taffeta ribbon.  I sponged everything ... including my fingers - Night of Navy ink everywhere!  The stars have been punched with the Crop-o-Dile and threaded onto the twine - I've then positioned them where I wanted them to be - adding a bit of snail adhesive here and there to keep them in place.

and the journalling reads ...

Sweet Fourteen!

What does a 14 year old want for her birthday?

A GHD hair straightener of course!

oh and a couple of beads for her

Pandora bracelet.

And I surprised you with your card ....

There isn't a 14 year old in the land that doesn't love

Twilight

It took a lot of research for an 'uncool' mum to find

out that this is Bella's truck, thanks to a Stampin' Up!

friend for stamping the images for me ...

and a cool website that gave me the quote ...

Gee it's hard keeping up with a 14 year old :o)

IMG_5808I hope this inspires you to create a Celebrations scrapbooking page - get out those punches - they really do make a page very easy to create.

Well, that’s all from me. Now you’re off to enjoy the beautiful creations of Alisha Watson, a very special lady who is very creative.

And don't forget to enter the draw for some candy.

Must agree, some of us older ladies love, love, love Twilight too! What a great page . My fave apart from Bella's truck is how you have threaded the stars onto the twine by double punching them. TFS Nikki. Cheers Donna Zammit

Precious page Nikki - great scrapbooking, but as with all your pages it's the feeling and love that has gone into the idea that really strikes me. Imagine Liv reading this later in life - it tells so much about your love for her.

Beautiful page, Nikki!! I am in LOVE with the idea of stringing stars across the page - they look amazing. Love the colours, and the Kraft journalling panel is perfect (in placement and colour). The symmetrical placement of the DSP panels appeals to me a lot!!
